gold-medal-with-red-ribbon-2-SBMENFollowing on from it’s huge success last year the Sunderland BME Network One Voice Awards took place –

Wednesday 26th October 2016, 11.00am to 2.00pm

Thornhill Community Academy,
Thornholme Road,
Tyne and Wear,

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Redford, deputy Head, and John Holworth, Headmaster of Thornhill Community Academy for their kind permission to use the hall.

Sunderland BME Network’s “One Voice” Community Award was launched in 2015 to recognise individual and organisational contributions to their communities and to celebrate the wider BME communities continuing innovation and integration and the valuable services provided both for and by the community in the City of Sunderland.

Launched in 2005, Sunderland BME Network is an infrastructure organisation charged with the support and development of BME member organisations and the community throughout the City of Sunderland. Consisting of some 14 member organisations the network has established itself as a key partner in embedding Diversity & Inclusion in the City.

The “One Voice” Community Awards recognise the efforts and significant contribution of businesses, groups and individuals in the City of Sunderland. You can view last year’s awards on our website by following this link to its own dedicated web page. The 2016 awards will also have a permanent web page listing the award recipients and, of course, our highly valued sponsors.

We appreciate that many socially responsible organisations face difficulties in finding cost effective, pragmatic ways to demonstrate their genuine and ongoing commitment to Equality and Diversity and Social Inclusion in the Community.

With that in minds, we have created a flexible range of opportunities for business to support the Awards through sponsoring part of the awards. Please see attached.

We would be delighted if you were able to be with us and celebrate the efforts of all those who support the BME Community in Sunderland.

You can view and download/save the sponsorship packages available by clicking on this link (PDF 573Kb – opens in new window).

If you decide sponsorship is not for you this year we would still like to thank you for considering us and send our best wishes.
